Founding partner of HARMONY AVOCATS, Jérôme BOGAERT has over 20 years of experience as a tax lawyer, specialising on M&A operations and international tax matters, dealing with them in English and /or French. Jérôme has a strong expertise in the following areas:

• Advising large international groups, as well as mid-caps companies and SME in defining and putting in place their tax policy (steering the ETR and tax financial management, tax auditing, mastering tax risks)

• Assisting corporates with their internal and external growth operations, in France and abroad (international contracts, M&A, transfers, restructuring).

• Advice on setting up and taking over businesses.

• Assisting with negotiations with tax authorities during and/ or after auditing or for the purpose of applying for a ruling.

Experience

• As of January 2018, founding partner of Harmony Avocats.

• 2014 to 2017, founder of Harmony law firm
• 2005 to 2013, partner and MD of the tax practice of GT Société d’Avocats.

• 2000 to 2005, tax lawyer for the Corporate National and International Tax division, ERNST & YOUNG société d’avocats

• A year’s secondment as tax director at VEOLIA ENVIRONNEMENT (6 months in 2003) and tax director France at ALSTOM (6 months in 1999/2000)

• 1994 to 2000, tax lawyer in the Corporate Tax division, TAJ affiliated to the Deloitte network.

Professional activities

• From January 2016, in charge of the column « Droit et Fiscalité” within the editorial board, Finance & Gestion, published by DFCG.

• Trainer in International Tax Law at DFCG, also delivering training in-house.

• Active member of DFCG (Association of CFO and CMO, based in Paris) since 2008

• Member of Finance Clubs, Entrepreneurs et Droit et Entreprise, HEC Alumni

• Contributor to many articles in the revue Finance & Gestion and in the newsletter ‘Alertes & Conseils’, published by Editions Francis Lefebvre.
